OK, fair enough so far as it goes. For me, then, the important question becomes: are you willing to treat people on the “other side” as human beings, or is it more important to demonize them to advance “the cause?” If the answer is more the latter than the former, then no reconciliation has EVER been possible, and such “alive branches” have only ever been trojan horses for a Marxist agenda. So what will it be? Are people to be treated as ends or as means to an end. Personally, I’m committed to the proposition that all people should be treated fairly and that the truth is more important than any political agenda.
