Simply Ridiculous! Why should he carry the burden of proof for refuting the extraordinary, sweeping claim that an entire nation and all of its law enforcement personnel are racist? The burden pf proof should be on the one who wants to make such a sweeping claim. The author’s statistics may not be enough to quell all doubts we may have about the general assumption that most police, like most people, are fundamentally people of good will who should be assumed to be innocent until proven guilty. They are, however more than enough to justify the claim that the situation is not quite so black-and-white as you are assuming. So why don’t you share your own evidence? Yes, I thought so.
